I think you did a good job capturing you subject. You seemed to really think this through and was really passionate about it! The horse pictures are great. The third one is out of focus though! D:
I really like the two images at the bottom - they really give you a clear picture of who jonathan is. he appears to very confident and also comfortable around his horse. he also seems to know who he is when he is around them. his body seems more relaxed and so does his face. you showed this well with the contrast of images (since the first three show him by himself).
I can tell that he is very comfortable around his horses and that he relaxed more around them.
